I got new toys - delving into digital art

It's nearly Christmas. I decided to treat myself to an iPad Air (4th gen) and the 2nd gen Apple Pencil.

I specifically bought it to use with the Procreate app. I wanted an iPad that was compatible with the 2nd gen pencil (the latest Air is) but I didn't really need the full whack iPad Pro. For digital artists, it really is the best. Straight out of the box and within a few minutes I was already creating.

"What shall I draw?" I said.

Looking up from the epic rolling hills of Red Dead Redemption 2, he says, "A cowboy".

So this is my first 20 minutes playing around with my new favourite toy, and I'm already in love.

It's absolutely fantastic - so intuitive and feels natural already. I feel confident I can improve quickly now that I have the best tools for the job. I need a little more time to really do a decent review, but so far so good. I love the pressure sensitivity which makes lines super fluid and organic, and the quick tap change feature.

Honestly, I wish I'd invested years ago.
