Internet archives

I first started a digital media blog while in university - encouraged by one of our first year lecturers. My very first post (not my finest work but a start, at least) was published back in 2013. In the years since, I have kept up the habit of documenting what I'm doing in my career and and relevant topics in my personal life.

There was a period of transition from one blog to another that some of my posts were lost. I had a lot of content built up over the years that vanished in the move - until I searched on the Wayback Machine: a non-profit aiming to archive the internet. It saves a snapshot of web pages at certain points in time, and is a valuable asset.

My old blog was saved in this snapshot, and from that I've been piecing together my own archive of posts from my university days onwards.

It's been a form of therapy for me, seeing how far I've come from those early days in my career. It's also given me a chance to read through old techniques I learnt that would still be useful today. I'm happy that I have the chance to revive the old me through these posts and share them again.

Take a look through my ever-growing archive here. I've since expanded on the "digital only" subject matter. I now blog about arts and languages here, since I am an artist first and started learning Mandarin around three years ago. It's turned into a personal collection of things I find interesting, and a record of the knowledge/works I have completed over the years.

A little digital blog, by a little analog person
